Aims and Objectives
Partner with the Government of AP (GoAP) and other Regulatory agencies for proactive and reactive resolution of issues faced by regional IT & ITES companies, in relation to the following aspects
- Policies and/or Regulations (Taxation Issues, Air Pollution Control, etc)
- Infrastructure (Power, Roads, etc)
- Physical Security
- Special Economic Zones (SEZ) / Other Preferential Schemes for Small-to-Medium (SME) Companies in the Region.
- Special Incentives and/or Subsidies for SMEs on investments in Training, Quality Certifications, etc
Build and promote AP (Brand AP) as the most preferred destination for the IT & ITES sectors in India
- Help produce Market Reports on AP in collaboration with APINVEST/GOAP
- Participate in Tradeshows being held in other countries
- Be a part of the CM’s delegation during overseas visits
- Meet prospective customers visiting AP for potential investments in the Region
- Participate, guide and assist GOAP in achieving the projected growth in the Region (Tier-II cities, quantity and quality of the workforce, etc)
- Influence the formulation of preferential policies for the sector in the Region. To be the community for knowledge sharing and learning

Ensure greater Visibility for ITSAP within and outside the Region
- ITsAP MC members to be part of important meetings / policy decisions of GOAP
- ITsAP MC members to speak regularly on existing Industry issues
- Host events for foreign delegates coming to AP
- Come up with Market Reports specific to the AP Region (Talent Availability, Cost of the talent, etc)
- Participate in International Events held in other countries
- Help publish and release the Regional Performance Report of AP in IT & ITES sectors every year
- Continue to participate in CSR initiatives to create goodwill in the Region
- Invest in creating good infrastructure for ITSAP
- Continue to collaborate judiciously with other fellow organizations like NASSCOM, CII, CSI, etc
Assist in developing and projecting AP as a Technology Hub
- Lead talent improvement initiatives in AP by bringing together the Industry, Academia, and Government (currently, there is a lot of duplication in related initiatives)
- Ensure that AP leads in Quality initiatives (CMMI, PCMM, CMM, ISO certifications)
- Promote Green IT
- Ensure that the companies in AP invest in the latest domains and technologies like Remote Infrastructure Management (RIM), BPO, Assurance Services, etc, through COEs
Develop ITsAP as an Agile organization
- Be Responsive
- Be Proactive (for instance, ITsAP’s contribution to Cyberabad Security Council, ITsAP initiative on AP Floods)
