MAJOR ACTIVITIES for 2009-10
- Send a weekly SME Newsletter via e-mail
- Facilitate sharing of benched resources among SMEs
- Facilitate monthly networking among SME ceos/mds
- Publish negotiated internet bandwidth rates of 2 preferred ISPs - quarterly (in the newsletter)
- Facilitate SMEs to benefit from incubation space offered by STPI
- Organize talks on topics of interest to SMEs
MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS
- SME Forum organized the first ever-networking meeting of SME CEOs at Hotel Taj Deccan on 14th November 2008. The objective of this forum was to bring the issues concerning SMEs for discussion, crystallize a common opinion on actions need to be taken by ITsAP (formerly HYSEA) towards resolution and act on them. Mr. Narsimha Rao, President, ITsAP (formerly HYSEA) was the keynote speaker on the occasion.
- ITsAP (Formerly HYSEA) conducted a detailed survey of SMEs by Mr. Ashok Kondapi, Management Consultant, to understand various issues and concerns confronted by the SME organizations in the IT & ITES sector.
- ITsAP (Formerly HYSEA) has played a major role in Got of AP’s commitment in principle to create a SEZ specially for the SME sector of the IT and ITES industry to partially mitigate any difficulties that may arise post 2009 if the Government of India does not extend the sunset clauses of the STP scheme. HYSEA has been tasked by the IT & C Department to work out a business and finance model to execute this on the ground.
- Has reached out to third world target countries like Saudi Arabia, Middle East, China and Philippines to generate business leads for our SME members.
