OBJECTIVE OF THE FORUM

To create a forum which works on activities focused on Student Community in AP with a primary purpose of

1. Branding for the industry in Academic community
2. Improving Quality of Talent which is graduating
3. Key social responsibility for IT industry

MAJOR ACTIVITIES FOR THE YEAR 2009-10

Taking a 3-track approach to address the following segments

1. Engineering / MCA / PG (IT companies target)
2. Graduates in BSc / Bcom / BA (ITES companies target)
3. Engineering / MCA / PG (IT companies target)

• Organize a Student Design Competition
• Organize College Visit specifically in Tier II/III cities of AP.
• Organize a two day Seminar both for faculty and students of Engineering Colleges in AP.

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS

• Successful conduct of Student Design Competition 2007-08 which saw participation from 110 Teams from various engineering colleges of AP.
• ITsAP (Formerly HYSEA) and Visakhapatnam Information Technology Association (VITA) hosted a JKC (Jawahar Knowledge Centre) students' convention meet at Kalavani Auditorium on 20th September 2008 at Vishakapatnam. The meet was held in association with Institute of Electronic Governance (IEG), Jawahar Knowledge Centre (JKC) and Rajiv Udyogasri.
  
  Over 1,500 students attended the session, which was addressed by professionals from companies like Wipro, Satyam, Symbiosys and Xinthe Technologies. There was a panel discussion on opportunities ahead for them. This was followed by a student panel discussion as well. The objective of the meet was to help students understand the needs of the industry provide a forum for them to interact with the experts.
• A very well received two day Industry- Academia meet at Infosys from 15th - 16th December 2007 saw 200 faculty members and 1500 students from various engineering colleges of Andhra Pradesh participate.
• A design competition for Students of Engineering Colleges was organized by and was very well received by students. 50 students from various colleges submitted their designs for the competition.
• IT quiz program organized as part of GITEX 2007 for students was also a great success.
