CSR Forum

OBJECTIVE OF THE FORUM

To develop and inculcate the spirit of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) among member companies and to leverage collective strength to give back to society from which the IT/ITES industry has gained so much. The forum also strives to create opportunities for its SME Member Companies and Employees of such Member Companies to use the forum as a platform for achieving the objects of CSR.

 

MAJOR ACTIVITIES FOR THE YEAR 2009-10

The major focus areas for the year are:

  • Education
    • Adopt & develop four schools
    • Sponsor teaching, providing school with good teachers
    • Enhance existing infrastructure
    • Help with material support such as uniforms, stationary etc.
  • Environment
    • Tree Plantation drive – Target 1000 sapling per year
    • eWaste Disposal – Leverage NASSCOM Foundation (Big Bridge Program)
    • Engage with APEC
    • Partner with Greenpeace
  • Community Development
    • Partner with ITMR at various campuses to drive blood donation camps
    • Partner with Blue Cross on various activities (Animal loving group - ALG & other events)
    • Newspaper collection drive
  • Disaster Relief
    • Help aimed at meeting the immediate needs of the victims of disastrous events
    • Prompt aid when required for disaster victims
    • Make service available to individuals & communities that have experienced losses due to disasters such as floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, Tsunami etc
    • Partner in relief operations

 

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS

  • ITsAP (Formerly HYSEA) Signed an MOU with Lead India Foundation on 15th Oct' 09 on the occasion of 78th birthday of our former honorable President of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
  • ITsAP (Formerly HYSEA) successfully launched its ‘Go Green’ Initiative in 3 phases at Hitec City and Gachibowli by planting close to 1000 saplings. This initiative was in close association with APIIC.
  • ITsAP, NASSCOM and NASSCOM Foundation have come together to provide relief to the victims of the massive floods in Mahboobnagar, Kurnool, Guntur and Krishna districts of Andhra Pradesh recently.
  • The forum organized extensive paper donation drive in partnership with ITC Paper boards. The proceeds from this drive were used to support two schools: ZPHS School, Anjaiah Nagar and Centenary School, Secundrabad.
  • January and October 2008 was observed as a CSR month by organizing Blood Donation Camps at various member companies. The camps saw overwhelming response from associates of member companies.
  • ITsAP (Formerly HYSEA) signed an MOU with care Hospitals on 6th October 2004 as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.
